What UNA-USA Membership Means to You
The United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA) wants all Americans to understand the vital work of the United Nations. Membership to UNA-USA is your connection to the UN. As a member, you receive exclusive web content, invitations to events at the United Nations, and the U.S. Department of State, and special programming through local Chapters. UNA-USA members and their Chapters work with their local communities and elected officials to inform, inspire, and mobilize Americans to support the principles and vital work of the UN.
Becoming a member of UNA-USA links you to a network of like-minded individuals who collectively promote the work of the UN at the grassroots level. Benefits of joining today include:
A network of more than 150 UNA-USA chapters and divisions throughout the country.
Educational events, Model UN programs, and meetings with elected leaders to increase knowledge of how the UN makes the world a safer place and improves the lives of people everywhere.
Monthly Nationwide Conference Calls with UN Experts on Issues such as Global Health, Empowering Women and Girls, and Sustainable Development.
Engagement with UN Foundation Campaigns for global health, adolescent girls, the environment, and more.
Impactful advocacy initiatives to voice your support of U.S. engagement at the UN with elected officials.
What Your Membership Supports
Thanks to members like you, we held more than 203 meetings with members of the House and Senate during the 2016 Advocacy Day; UNA Chapters hosted 160 events to celebrate UN Day; and more than 1,000 college students engaged as volunteers and conference leaders, and reached over 25,000 middle and high school students in Model UN conferences in more than 25 cities.
We are an all-volunteer organization, funded primarily through memberships.
Members receive ten issues of the Sacramento/Davis UNA newsletter per year and are welcome at any UNA program, free of charge.

GenUN is a national initiative of UNA-USA to engage and energize young supporters around the work of the United Nations. GenUN empowers a new generation of young Americans to be leaders in helping the UN build a better world for all. Through a national network with over 50 university chapters, GenUN facilitates youth engagement, advocacy efforts, education programs, and public events for American youth. UNA-USA’s campus chapters offer students an opportunity to lead and advocate in their communities, while the U.S. Youth Observer program provides a connection to the UN for American youth.
Since 1946, the United Nations Association of the United States has been dedicated to building understanding of and support for the ideals and work of the UN among the American people. It is only with the continued commitment of passionate supporters that we can continue to educate, inspire and mobilize Americans to support the vital work of the United Nations!
